A Path to the Clearing: A Collection of Poems (Poems by Experience Holmes)

By Experience Holmes

A Path to the Clearing is a first collection of poems by Experience Holmes in which he attempts to address in an unpretentious way some of life's more interesting questions, questions with relevance to every individual, whatever the individual's station, race, rank, religion, or other circumstance. Holmes' poems reflect his belief that attention to such questions, although perhaps unanswerable, generates life-enhancing energy and serves a unifying function important in this era of social divisiveness. Holmes contends that focusing on the riches of one's own, original thought countervails those tribal forces in modern society that tend to overwhelm the individual and threaten psycho-spiritual and political autonomy.
