Last night I stayed up until I read the final page. "A moments indiscretion by Peggy J. Herring is not only well written and all the words are spelled correctly lol, it capured my heart and for several wonderful hours I lost myself inside of the lives of Jackie & Valerie, Carla & BJ and Collin & Ben. I fell right into there lives and lived it with them. What a welcome relief from life. Laughing and crying right along with them. Learning to love again is what alot of us need to read. with hot romantic scenes. I would highly recommend anyone with a loving heart and soul to read this wonderful book.
Why can't I choose 6 stars???

Some of the other reviewers suggest this story is a little far fetched. I might be inclined to agree, but it's a fictional romance and I don't mind -- they're supposed to be like that. Jackie lives in a decrepit house she wants to sell, can't keep a girlfriend, and loves her demanding job. After a party at her home, she meets a woman (D.J.) who falls for her best friend (Carla) and agrees to fix up the house in exchange for a place to stay. One of D.J.'s friends (Valerie) is hired at Jackie's office to help out. Val lets Jackie know she's interested, but Jackie doesn't date coworkers (or anyone for that matter). Valerie's only choice is to quit the job so Jackie doesn't have any excuses. Jackie reluctantly agrees to a date and that starts things moving in the right direction. After Jackie admits she's fallen in love, she discovers Valerie has a husband. What a shock to her heart! It seems she's surrounded by lies and deception, but Valerie won't let her get away. This storyline is original, enjoyable, and intense. The relationship is complicated (aren't they all...) and the sex is hot. It certainly follows the storyteller's golden rule (every story must have a happy ending) and keeps the reader's attention. Highly recommended for those who want a pleasant and tantalizaing momentary escape from reality.
Unique story

You'll have to look a long time to find a story that has as many different situations that might be plausible by themselves, but seem to make a story implausible when you put them all together. Granted there are women who have had bad relationships and have difficulty recovering from them. There are gay men who are afraid to come out to their families. There are gay men and lesbian women who maintain sham marriages for appearance sake. And there are older lesbians who find it difficult to accept that a much younger woman would be interested in them. It takes a really good story to put all of this together and make it come out sounding even slightly possible. And the ending will stretch credibility even more. It is a good story though and Herring uses her usual touch to create really romantic, steamy scenes. This story might just be true for someone somewhere. At any rate, it's still a good story.

This is really a hot novel. One of my favorite writers. Peggy Herring really can burn the pages. Sexually charged and yet romantic
Another hit from Peggy Herring.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has everything--a true love, evil ex, and best friends. I've enjoyed all of Peggy Herring's novels. Read this one and you won't be disappointed!
