A Lover's Pretense-A Joyfully Recommended Title!

It seems as if each new segment in the Ramsey family series just keeps getting better and more exciting. Ms. Washington has mastered the act of teasing and torturing the reader until you find yourself rapidly flipping page after page, eager to see what will happen next. Even though the main feature in the phenomenal A Lover's Pretense was Ty and Quay's love story; it also revealed the person behind the murder mystery that carried over from the first novel; touched on up on Mick and Quest's life after marriage; taunted about the future love interests of more Ramsey men and developed another secret that stemmed from the original anonymity. Whew! Readers, if you admire a cocky, dominate, suave, compassionate, sexy-as-hell type of man - then Quay is THE man. Ty had a lot on her plate in her dealings with Quay, yet, she handled herself and Quay with class and style. Although Ms. Washington did an excellent job of giving great background information, I would suggest reading A Lover's Dream before tackling A Lover's Pretense because of the continuation of the suspenseful murder mystery and, more importantly, to experience the satisfaction of Mick and Quest's union. I could not put this book down.

Quay and Tykira's story was worth the wait. The murder mystery that started with Lover's Dream was concluded in this book. I was surprised. I received a email from Altonya saying the next installment will be about Fernando Ramsey and Contessa due in 2007. I can't wait. I highly recommend this book.

Love, Love, Love

I'm not a fan of romance novels, but that all changed once I read "A Lover's Dream" and I love the sequel even more. I enjoyed Quay's story and I'm glad we got some closure about what happened in the first novel. I can't wait to read about the other Ramsey men in upcoming sequels.

I am in the process of reading all of her books....I can't put them down!

The books are addictive. The characters are captivating, the passion intense and believable, and the plots unforgetable. I have fallen in love with Washingotn and her ability to create love and intimacy through words. I praise her talents and beg her to write more! The passages leave you breathless and yearning. Looking for stimulation through words? READ THIS BOOK!

Brava! This is the sequel to A Lover's Dream. Ty and Quest were a great match for each other. H-O-T! Every time she slapped him I busted out laughing. We also get to check in with Quest and Mick from the first book. I enjoyed how Quay was really honest with his feelings and grew up. Also I kind of like his cocky demeanor. But Ty held her own against Quest! Did I mention that the story is HOT! The story flows quite nicely and then BAM!!! AlTonya gets you every tine. LOL! I was like on no she didn't! LOL! There are many secerts to be hold with this family and we are just getting strated! I love it! I cannot wait until the next book when some more secrets will come to light. AlTonya Wahsingon is an amazing writer. Be sure to check out all her other books as well. You won't be disappointed.
