A Little Too Late to Be Sensible is a contemporary story about ambition, self-deception and the uncomfortable work of rebuilding your life after you have played a significant role in messing it up.
At its centre is Sasha, a woman who is capable of finding order in almost anything except herself. She is intelligent, ambitious and professionally successful, but she has reached the point where the life she has carefully assembled no longer feels like one she actively chose. What begins as a desire to create something of her own gradually exposes all the quieter problems she has been avoiding: dissatisfaction, dishonesty, resentment and the growing distance between the person she is and the person she believes she should be.
