A Great Read

From back of the book: Haunted by memories of her fiance, who was killed in the war, Leonora resists the attentions of two of the most eligible suitors in Yorkshire. The willful beauty simply was not interested in men or marriage. At least until she met the mysterious young man hired to be her private groom. Tony Bingle had a scar on his face and a chip on his shoulder. He was surly and insolent, and probably quite dangerous. But each time she waw him, her feelings inexplicably deepened. Forbidden feelings that her impeccable breeding--and his low station in life--demanded she ignore. The story involved solving the identity of the mystery groom who claimed he was an ex-cavalry man, although I could some what guess who he was half way through the book; but the main subject was more about coming to realization of the love for the lost love. I particularly loved the ending which was so well written, it really gave the story a whole, complete, and satisfying feeling. Highly recommended!
