A Ghost Walks Amongst You

That's me on the cover, aged 16. I am now over 70 years of age. The photo was taken before my first suicide attempt, before my hospitalization, the ECT, the visits to witches, doctors, hypnotists, therapists, Scientologists, herbalists, and all the rest. I had become a ghost 8-10 years after this photo was taken. I walked amongst the living, sat next to you on buses and tubes. You human. Me dead, but not quite dead. No matter where I went to find help, there was only a false promise, no help that worked to bring me back to life again. I found a way back to being a human again. I found the only way. Once a ghost means it's likely you will often become a ghost again. I have become one over 26 times approx. Sometimes it's brief, a few weeks. Sometimes, at least twice, for 6 months and once for over a year. I learned to live as a ghost in a human world, and each time I found my way back to it again. It is difficult but not impossible. This book is my gift to all who become ghosts: people in severe grief, and people who suffer deep clinical depressions, so you know how to find your way back too. It is truthful, from my heart, and if you read it, you will never need a drug, or have your life slip away, due to 'ghosting'. Part autobiography, but mostly only to equate you with me, the author, so you can connect and learn how I handled and overcome bouts of anxiety-caused, untreatable deep-clinical depression. Born 1950, now aged 70+, I tell how I kept my life on track and successful, despite an illness that is crippling, life-threatening, and frequently misunderstood by all. Written from my heart, initially in case my descendants suffer similarly, to help them survive and prosper, but also to help others sufferers struggle to get out of depression and get back to a fruitful life. What I have learned in a lifetime, can help everyone who suffers this devastating illness which, without proper help and guidance, wrecks lives.Note: Maurice Smith (Mol Smith) is a successful author of several science-related books, a film producer of many low-budget films, a digital artist, a photographer, and a creator of new films and books yearly despite his age, and despite suffering gradual declining physical health due to a slow but progressive terminal illness.
