There is Solomon, out skipping school, getting high, and living life with an invincible will. And like any teenage boy filled with anger, hope, and angst he handles situations the only way he knows... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Demicoli presents a realistic, intriguing story here. It was recommended to me by a friend, and after starting it I could not put it back down. His portrayal of drug culture is right on and I would recommend this to someone of any age or background. A great book!
This is book reality, unlike those real life TV shows

In A Field of Wild Flowers, DeLeon DeMicoli has painted a piece of reality that has more truth than any one of those stupid reality TV shows. The problem with drugs and adolescents is strong and there is not one ad or commercial that could relate to our kids, except maybe this book, which entails the drug life and the culture, and the downside of it all. If you want to see what it's like to be a dopehead Read This Book!

I don't even like reading, but when I came across this book from a friend, I am happy to say I finished it, which I don't usually do with other books.I was able to relate to Solomon as far as relationships go and being in higschool.I think anyone in highschool will like this book, or who knew someone just like Solomon when they were in highschool.
I could see this being a movie

A Field of Wild Flowers was one of those books that you start and cannot put back down until the last page is read. Mr. DeMicoli's descriptions were life-like and fit for the screen. And just like Solomon, the main character, I could see the movie playing in my head.
I love this book

I read this book when I just got sober and it was a kick in the face. I could relate to the main character, and I saw a path I was about to follow after I read each page. This book helped me get through the tough spots. It showed what i didn't want to become in life. A junky and a loser.
