Touching!

Shelby is engaged, but when her fiance is killed and she discovers she's pregnant, she doesn't know what to do. Tucker, her fiance's brother, steps in and they marry. What starts out as a marriagefor all the wrong reasons, may end up being more... Coulter tells a touching story of love and redemption.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Tucker and Shelby's story is sweet to say the least. Another great page turner by Brenda. Anyone who would say this book is trashy obviously hasn't read it. It's definately a keeper for on my shelf to be enjoyed countless times.

Characters You Can't Help Loving

Shelby and Tucker, thinking they know best, get married for all the "wrong" reasons, guilt being one of them. When things begin to fall apart it's only then that they begin to open their eyes and realize that God did have His loving hand in their lives all along. This is a wonderful read and reminded me that going to God for guidance first can save me from many ups and downs in my faith walk.

One of my all-time favorites

The book has got to be one of the best Love Inspired books I have ever read. And like most of the others who have reviewed this book, I absolutely love Tucker. So what if he's just a little too perfect sometimes. I have a hard time liking Shelby, though. Yes, I pity her, but I really don't like her attitude. I know she's pregnant and all but does she really have to act all abandoned all the time. Yes, eventually she does get better and by the end I was in love with her as well. Overall I think it is a great story. I have read it two times and am avidly reading it now. It never gets old. It covers so many bases. If you are a Love Inspired fan then this is the book for you. Brenda Coulter is a fabulous writer, even though this is the first book of hers that I've read. It's funny and sad and everything in between. And hey, if you're a crier, then you might cry if you read this book. I didn't, but then again I've never cried while reading any book. I hope this was helpful to someone. Great story. Great Author. Great characters. Especially Tucker!

The Best Love Inspired I've read in years!

A Family Forever is probably the best Love Inspired I've ever read in regards to romance and keeping you turning the pages. And I've read well over a hundred. Yeah, I even got a bit choked up. What a cool hero! I fell in love with him as well. Why couldn't all men be that cool? hehehe... Brenda has a knack for tugging at your heartstrings. I saw that in her first book, Finding Hope published in 2003, so I knew this one would deliver as well. There's only one thing... While I can see why they wanted to name the title what they did (A Family Forever), the story was much more exciting than the title implies. Same with the cover. It's not just about pregnancy. So if potential readers look at the title and cover and as the result, plan to dismiss it, they need to think again. This story is AWESOME. Frankly, I wish all Love Inspireds were this good, because if they were I never would have ended my subscription back in late 2003. I do buy some on occasion at the store, and some are very good, but few pack this kind of punch. This is a must read, in my opinion, for the true romance lover. The spirituality thread in this story is also very deep, and more like a blanket. It's not just "they went to church," or "they prayed," or "they found their path or faith again." This one delves deep and satisfies in every way. There's no fluff here, just intense, unconditional and committed love transforming the heart of a woman who never believed she could love and trust again. Brenda pulls this off with perfection! Highly recommended!
