This particular book helped explain so many things that have gone on and are going on in my life. What excitement you can have when you understand the processes of transition and the symptoms! It really allowed me to comprehend moments of confusion and frustration in a positive light. Unbelieveably helpful. Four other friends got the book at the same time and it is a blast to understand what each other is talking about when we discuss the book...

10 STARS!! For folks TIRED of churchy rhetoric & works

This can change your entire view on where you've been and where God wants to take you. Promise. I saw the Tommy Tenney name (did the foreword) and wondered how many fresh things can one man be involved in? Well, he's in a river for sure. Great book for frustrated leadership (a must actually). If you're in a 'satisfied' church, this may not be for you. If you're aching to grow in intimacy with God and relationships, if you are tired of Sunday only church and relationships, if you've been hurt by the church, this book will help open your eyes and uncover your idols (with God's direction of course). Some truly fresh, amazing rhema from heaven. Gets a little bogged down in the middle but don't give up--just press through it.

Graham Cooke has the mind of a master builder. In his book, he delves into thorny and controversial issues revolving around church transition. There are excellent teachings on how to untie dead knots that prevents the church from moving forth by harnessing practical and proven strategies.Through a wide lens, we can see that God is not stale in his choice, but is still very much proactive and creative in the ways he is dealing and shaping his corporate church. The church must also learn to retain her elasticity if she wants to prevail under the spiritual influence of God's next move. As pointed out this is most crucial in transition period. Relationship and accountability are the most crucial areas leaders must take into account. How far we can venture in our spiritual odyssey will largely depend on this un-dividing combination factors. This is also a major highlight in this book. I see Graham is like an artisan photographer who is skillful in zooming in his lens in and out to view the big picture of today's church from all angle. Therefore much of the contents of this book can give us an insight of the church at microscopic and macroscopic level.
