A Demon's Testimony: The Gospel According to the Devil

By Thaxton Jordan Lee

"The Screwtape Letters meets Paradise Lost, blending classic biblical moments with epic tropes from high fantasy."

Hundreds of years ago, a demon named Zargomon took the arduous task upon himself to create a thorough account of Jesus of Nazareth's life, for this spiritual fiend was present for all the man's mortal existence. After being found in a cave in the Middle East by a team of archeologists, this text was translated from the unknown language now called Infernal. To share this historical find with the world, the team of translators and linguists published this demon's writings for all to see.

The Devil's Testimony explores the life of Jesus from the unique eyes of a low-ranking demon tasked with observing the Son of God and ensuring His death by the hands of mortals. Zargomon, the devil, tells key events of the usual Synoptic Gospels like the Virgin Birth and the Last Supper from his infernal viewpoint. Discover how Zargomon navigates the war between Heaven and Hell and what Jesus' presence on the Earth reveals about the nature of the conflict.
