Very good short book with general information

Although this is a short book (only 96 pages), it covers a great deal of information. It has no guarantees on the methods and subastances in it, stating early on that aphrodisiacs only work on those who willingly wish them to. Roughly half of the book deals with legendary aphrodisiacs, sensual poetry, and references to aphrodisiacs in literature in addition to many sensual illustrations. The author also goes through many common foods, herbs, and spices and normally gives at least one recipe for each substance discussed. Although not a great book, it is certainly worth the price and I would recommend it to those who are interested in the subject.
