Thanks again Mr. Marrin!

Mr. Marrin brings to life a somewhat forgotten episode in US history. I liked the details about England and France that we tend to forget in looking at what we consider an "American Event". I just wish he would have given more of the Canadian perspective on the war. After living in Canada many years, I learned that Canada sees itself as the only "victor" in the war because it kept America from taking it over. Hope this book is eventually re-published.

The living conditions onboard British warships is detailed, giving the reader an understanding of why British sailors were deserting; thus leading to British impressment of American sailors. All subjects in the book are given the same in-depth treatment with gripping first-person accounts of naval and land battles.
