A beautiful ending for a wonderful romance series.

Summary: The perfect culmination that we've all been waiting for! I so wish there were more to this incredible series, but I am thrilled and satisfied with the ending, as it was all earned and deserved by the characters. I love Sweat and Soap so much! Full review: Before opening the volume, I loved how everyone who supported the couple in their journey to where they are now, even if it was minor, was with them on their big day. And it was so fun seeing everyone dressed up! Even more so while reading the volume. I can't believe it's actually over. It feels like just yesterday that Asako and Kotaro were navigating a workplace romance, to now even having the owner of their workplace at their wedding ceremony! The story and the couple's romantic journey ended beautifully. The pacing was spot on, and like previous volumes, even family members' emotions shone through as not only supporting characters but supportive people. The final chapter ended perfectly; however, I'm thankful for the bonus chapters that gave a little more insight into the couple's lives after the ceremony, tying up any small loose ends. Without spoilers, I can't explain why, but I wish to the great manga lords in the sky that - even as a one-shot - we will be graced with a small extension or spin-off of Sweat and Soap to show the couple's lives even further into their marriage— and all of the things and people that come with that. Wink wink. I am sad that the story is over, but I am grateful to have witnessed Kotaro and Asako's journey, and I feel fulfilled by the ending. For anyone who loves romance - particularly between quirky characters, distinctive and realistic supportive side characters, and a thoughtful story, please, pick up this series. Just read the first volume, and I can 95% guarantee that you'll be just as hooked and enamored with this couple as I am. And they are with each other.
