Hitorijime My Hero Volume 6 (Love is a Battlefield)

When it comes to relationship insecurities, Masahiro and Asaya are one and the same. After Asaya's little scandal, Kousuke comes to Masahiro's rescue. I love the part where Kousuke says, "Hey Cinderella, I'm your prince" to Masahiro. Their trip made the couple feel relaxed – well, for one day, that is until Kousuke announces he wants to marry and live in a house with Masahiro tomorrow. What will Masahiro say and do in response to Kousuke's announcement? However, their happiness may not last long because Natsuo's friend Onda has potentially twisted Natsuo's brain into getting revenge for his broken heart (since Natsuo has a crush on Kousuke). Meanwhile, Asaya and Ken argue over the picture that Asaya took and sent to Ken. Yunge has a proposal: to date Ken until he figures out what a relationship is supposed to be like. Masahiro attempts to put out this fire burning inside of Asaya. However, it is up to Ken whom he will date. Will Ken permanently date Yunge, or will he return to Asaya's side? And what will happen when it is revealed that Yunge has a crush? So much drama within the boys' group that it may cause the boys to split apart forever. Plus, cute action with wild dolphins and Shigeo, and some dangerous action with the Hasekuraism girls. Also, Asaya's father and family dogs are revealed in this volume, explaining why Asaya is so cool playing fetch with Shigeo (right after Kousuke got the dog for Masahiro). Memeco Arii did an excellent job on the story and cover. I will say that I believe each book cover gets better and better (as well as the story), but I like this one the most so far because it shows the four main characters on the front with Shigeo and Sasa. I noticed how the author mainly focused on Asaya and Ken in the second half, trying to mend their broken relationship while revealing the hidden secrets behind Yunge. I can't wait to read the next one. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves BL manga.
