A yaoi romance between a good boy who didn't know he was waiting for a hero, and a bad boy who comes to his rescue Now a hit streaming anime Hero to Zero A few months have passed since Masahiro Setagawa revealed his true feelings for his teacher Kousuke Ohshiba (a.k.a. the Bear Killer, infamous destroyer of punks). But there's no way things will stay nice and peaceful for this pair And when Kousuke suddenly says they should break up, Masahiro's world is turned upside-down
Everything between Kousuke and Masahiro runs smoothly until Kousuke decides to touch Masahiro at school. Masahiro seeks advice from Asaya (who doesn’t care about anyone’s relationship but his own). Is Kousuke’s only solution to take Masahiro to a love hotel? Masahiro seems to have trouble splitting his time between his friends and his boyfriend. Shigeo (the cute doggie) makes his debut in this volume. Kousuke reminisces about when Masahiro became his sidekick. Kousuke’s friend Houjou and Houjou’s brother-in-law Asaya warn about Kousuke’s actions with Masahiro. Drama ensues when Kousuke and Masahiro get sick. And what will Kousuke do about his relationship with Masahiro? Will they break up, or will Kousuke put a ring on it?
I feel like the majority of the anime show can be summed up in these two first volumes of Hitorijime My Hero and Hitorijime Boyfriend. In this one, I noticed how Natsuo (Kousuke’s friend that works at Mary’s bar) acts differently in the book from the anime. In the anime, Natsuo speaks more. I know that Masahiro slowly increases his confidence in his relationship with Kousuke. I wish Kousuke, Masahiro, Asaya, and Ken the best of luck in the next volume. Memeco Arii has created a masterpiece series, and I look forward to the next book.
