Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Art of the Animated Series features many fantastic artworks and insights into the show’s production. The co-creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are the phenomenal minds behind the greatest show of all time. They and their team put in years of hard work and research to make the series what it is today—a timeless masterpiece. From inspiring architecture around the world to drawing the final fights, this book has it all. I found the information invaluable. I didn’t know the nuns ran the Western and Eastern Air Temples, while the Monks ran the Northern and Southern Air Temples. I was interested to learn that the female firebenders train other soldiers. The fight scene between Bryan and Sifu Kisu as Jet and Zuko was cool. I loved the art towards the end of the book, which was sold to raise funds during COVID-19. There is so much in this book, I can’t remember every detail I loved. I recommend this book to any Avatar: The Last Airbender fan. You may learn a few facts about Avatar: The Last Airbender you didn’t know.
