I have left neglect and I really liked the book. My neurologist (a Harvard trained gebtleman who also taught there and wrote 2 books on strokes) recommended I read this book to better understand this condition. I have since learned via Dr. Google that you get assigned a percent of left neglect. While I don't know what that percent is, I know I don't have it as bad as some people have it. But after all these years, it's still there.
Lisa Genova is a great writer.
I would highly recommend the book, even if you don't have this condition. It can happen in a flash.
couldn't finish it...got too boring, repetitive

Started out ok but was a bit puzzling at first - couldn't figure out why the main character's dreams were included. Then, as the story goes on, you begin to see this shallow character that you hope will grow into a deeper character, but it wasn't happening. The book was repetitive and I finally put it down around the middle of the book. It was also predictable. I cannot recommend it.
Great story!

I never heard of left neglect before this book and found the story very interesting. Also a wonderful story about a mother and daughter bonding later in life.
