Philosophy of living

The eastern approach to theism, and life's purpose is depicted in this book quite well. Reading this book provokes deep thought, and introspection, and can be used as a guide on our journey through life. I have found ideas and thoughts submitted as suitable for integration into my Christian theology, and overall, are quite sound.

Always inspiring

As always the Dalai Lama presents Buddhism in a way that reflects his compassion and the compassion of Buddhism itself. Born and raised a Catholic I came to Buddhism late in life, after struggling for years to come to terms with the double standards of my mothers religion. As a westerner still deeply entrenched in US culture it is sometimes difficult to follow the tenents of Buddhism but His Holiness explains that it will be difficult and pure sucess in not expected. However his writings have made coping with daily life much more bearable and has taught me that faith can resolve conflict.
