Book Overview

"A magnificent achievement. In its power to touch the heart, to awaken consciousness, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying] is an inestimable gift."
--San Francisco Chronicle

A newly revised and updated edition of the internationally bestselling spiritual classic, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, written by Sogyal Rinpoche, is the ultimate introduction to Tibetan Buddhist wisdom. An enlightening, inspiring, and comforting manual for life and death that the New York Times calls, "The Tibetan equivalent of Dante's] The Divine Comedy," this is the essential work that moved Huston Smith, author of The World's Religions, to proclaim, "I have encountered no book on the interplay of life and death that is more comprehensive, practical, and wise."

Rich and Inspiring

I have been reaching for books to explore my interest of supporting others through their end of life travels. I keep coming back to this book after selecting many to read. There are timeless nuggets of wisdom and inspiring personal stories told by the author that are richly engaging.

Book did not come in Like new condition. Still excited to read this %100

I'm excited to read it. But I have to say for paying extra for the "like new condition" i wasn't expecting it to come with a couple of tears and it being all bent up

Tibetan book of living and dying

This is a great guide to understanding compassion, and learning to use it to better everyone's life experience. The author relates his journey to attainment, his friends, and the times he has lived through. For me, the information on the process of dying, how to truly help someone and yourself through the Bardo experiences one may be aware of during the process of dying. As a worker in the health industry this book opened a whole bunch of new meaningful understanding.
