Profound and thoughtful and fully human

As a therapist and a woman who's struggled with eating in a very toxic culture and in a medical system that shames an ounce over and Praises an ounce under this was very beautiful. Getting to really see the pain from the outside getting to see the love and growth from the inside and watching notions that are oversimplified and over attributed fall to the wayside. Additionally the research is very critical it's hard to read certain aspects especially understanding what mice and humans through when starving (absolutely necessary but kept short) thing but it does really help to understand what happens to the brain when the body is starving. I highly recommend this book I read it in 3 days and thank you to the author and thank you to "Kitty" and "Emma" and I can't believe I'm spacing on the father's name but you all have made an impact on my life.
