Susan Wiggs has been a writer since childhood, but she temporarily devoted herself to teaching math after she graduated from Harvard University. Her first book was published in 1987 and, while she gave up full-time teaching in 1992, she continues to lead workshops and seminars. Often a finalist for the prestigious RITA award, Wiggs has earned three RITA awards for her novels. Romantic Times has twice named her a Career Achievement Award winner. She lives on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
