Jeffery Deaver Profile Picture

International bestselling author Jeffery Deaver has written short stories and more than thirty novels. Born outside Chicago in 1950, he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a law degree from Fordham University. Deaver is a former journalist, attorney, and folksinger. Among the awards he has received are Novel of the Year by the International Thriller Writers Association, the W.H. Smith Thumping Good Read Award, and the Steel Dagger from the British Crime Writers Association. A Maiden's Grave and The Devil's Teardrop were both adapted into television movies. Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie starred in the film adaptation of The Bone Collector.
