Janette Oke, born in 1935 in Alberta, Canada, writes inspirational fiction. A graduate of Mountain View Bible College in Alberta, Oke is the author of nearly eighty books, many of which have been adapted into television films. She and her husband have pastored churches in Edmonton and Alberta, Canada, as well as the state of Indiana. Oke received the 1992 President's Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association for her contributions to Christian fiction and the 1999 CBA Life Impact Award. Oke has also been awarded the Gold Medallion Award for fiction. She lives in Alberta.
