A marine archeologist as well as a novelist, Clive Cussler is founder and chairman of the National Underwater and Marine Agency (NUMA). NUMA has discovered more than 60 shipwreck sites. Born in Illinois in 1930, Cussler grew up in California and now divides his time between Colorado and Arizona. He is the author or co-author of more than 50 books, including seventeen consecutive novels that reached New York Times bestseller list. Raise the Titanic! was adapted into a film in 1980 and the film of Sahara was released in 2001.
