Meet The Original Scandinavian Santa!

As usual, with lots of humour and witty details, Nordquist tells the story of the small elvelike "nisse" people that Scandinavian farmers used to believe lived on their farms. These elves watch over the humans - but expect to be granted Christmas Porrodge on Christmas Eve. If not, the Chief Elf (Nissefar) will get mad, and cast a spell of misfortune over the farm and the humans! This particular Christmas, his wife knows that no porridge will come. With modern life comes the fake Santa, and the humans forget the old "Nisse". How can she and the nisse children solve the problem? Nordquist's humorous text and detailed illustrations are priceless, and make life easier for parents, weary of reading the same tale over and over again. With Nordquist's books - that is never the problem. There are always new things to see! Look out for another Christmas tale by Nordquist, too: Festus and Mercury and the Santa Machine.
