Great devotion book for kids and pre-teens

This devotion book is well written. The stories and interesting facts have kept our adolescent and pre-teen boys eager for devotion time each evening. The tie-in to scripture is sometimes a bit weak, but we use this as an opportunity for parental "customization" of that day's devotion theme to our family's particular needs or interests. If there's a sequel, I'd be willing to pay cover price for it.

good devotional

Very nice devotional for kids. Concise, easy to read and calendar dated for use year after year!

Would give it 10 stars if I could...

Up until I found this book it was a real struggle to get my 12 year old son to read his devotional. Now, believe it or not, he is the one asking me! Very interesting stories about very interesting facts, tied in with a bible scripture and short lesson. Each daily story and lesson takes only a few minutes. This devotional is a real gem!

Great trivia tidbits that kids enjoy

with good spiritual applications. The kids are really enjoying finding out about the White House bathtubs and things kids invented among many other things. The author tells the story and ends with a "So What?" that gives the spiritual application.

They reminded me to do daily devotions!

My boys and I loved this devotional because it kept us coming back for more everyday. The facts and stories were about everyday things and their origins. Historically acurate and gave a very clear "picture" in their minds (and mine)about the lesson of the day. Biblically strong teaching made fun and easy to understand for my two boys, 8 and 10 years old.
