The Beast of Adam Gorightly: Collected Rantings (1992-2004)

This is the 4th Gorightly book I have read, and either I'm totally nuts, or everything I learned about the topics prior to reading these books was a lie! Not sure which is the case, but I am sure this is a must read for people interested in "out there" topics, not many cover it well, none I have read are as accessible and easy-going, but hard hitting all the same. 5 stars and a thumb proudly held high.

Puzzling Evidence!

If you are a student of high weirdness this is a must. A great reference for Conspiracies, UFO's, MK Ultra, JFK, and The Occult. One could comb for hours through the AMOK Fifth Dispatch, select a dozen or so books on these topics and not get as much information as one finds here. More than a summary of these aberrant subjects, Mr. Gorightly is a Witness to the Weirdness, his account of Manson lore is particularly insightful. We all know Satan is behind Rock and Roll, but the author's narrative on the topic is the most comprehensive I have seen, even my Sunday School teacher has nothing on him. Was Aleister Crowley behind both Scientology and Roswell ? Who'd a thunk it!

a rare glimpse inside occult secret societies....

"The Beast of Adam Gorightly" is a good overview of Gorightly's research into conspiracies and high weirdness. It is a collection of various articles that Gorightly (the author's pseudonym) has penned over the years. The article that I consider the most significant in this collection is entitled "Tuesday Weld is Watching You: The Shocking Truth of Secret Societies in Santa Cruz." I was personally responsible for setting up the interviews in the fall of 2004 that got this story rolling. And it is the first time that these revelations have come out in the US media. But there are many other interesting pieces in this work. Gorightly covers a wide variety of occult and secret society topics, including the Son of Sam slayings, MK-Ultra mind control, and Satanic subliminal messages in rock and roll. For those who don't like a book length treatise, this book is highly suitable, because one can dabble at reading it, one article at a time as the mood strikes them. Douglas Hawes
