Book for Finding your Daily Mantra

This book is fantastic - I'm not kidding. I truly think I will add it to my quarterly re-read pile. It's not terribly long and the ideas are not terribly new, but the writing is fantastic and serves as a great reminder of the wonder and beauty that is in our lives. We can become so complacent in our lives that we forget why we are alive. Every moment of our lives should offer a reminder as to what is and is not important. Even bad experiences, such as a death, should not be seen as bad but rather a reminder to be grateful what we do have. Its a short read and very well presented. I am very pleased to have brought this book into my life.

This Moment Matters

Just finished reading "Every Moment Matters".... All the stories are precious, but my favorite is "The Jesus Man"--a timeless tale about mysterious forces I file under the heading of "love" that truly heal body and soul--another reminder of the old saying that when the student is ready, the teacher will come. As a forever student, I "get it." Thanks, John, for being my teacher in this moment.

John St. Augustine has written a literally mind changing collection of stories. I've only read half of them because I want to savor each one and think about it for a while. I am reminded that I must live every moment to the fullest, cherish family and friends, reflect on the past, remember those who are gone....well, the list gos on. Here is a book not only to keep permanently in your collection but also to give as a gift for so many occasions i.e. the birth of a baby,an illness of a family member or friend, the death of a dear one. Trust me.....you'll read slower than usual because you'll want to remember every detail. After reading even one these wonderful stories, you will, indeed, agree with the author that "Every Moment Matters"

A great wake-up call & a joy to read

This book is a great wake-up call if it's time for you to stop going through the motions of an unexamined life. Each story reminds us that the answers to life's questions exist inside us and we can actually hear them if we'll just slow down long enough to listen! Through the safety of someone else's life experiences, I found myself riding a roller-coaster range of emotions as I experienced the highs and lows from John's life and the lessons learned from each of them. I was repeatedly reminded me of just how much impact our words and actions have on others - even complete strangers- whether we realize it or not at the time. Experiencing John's life moments alongside him was a very spiritual ride through the lifetime of a non-religious person. A joy to read!

Many moments that stand out and taught me a lesson or even changed the trajectory of my life. His book triggers my brain to recall great moments in my life and helps me create a vision for my future.
