I did not use this book very much, but it did provide good information and gave a quick and dirty break down instead of the detail you get in class. This book would be good to read before you take the class so you would have some background infromation before you dive in.

This book single handedly got me through biochemistry. Great as a study aide, especially if you are having a hard time understanding the concepts. Explains them in a simple, straight-forward way with lots of examples and diagrams.
