Wholesome tween adventure

The second adventure for Andrea Carter is entitled Andrea Carter and the Dangerous Decision. Andi is in trouble right from the beginning of the book as readers find her about to run down the new schoolteacher while riding her horse Taffy in a race through the streets of Fresno. Mr. Foster takes an instant dislike to Andi, and once school starts, things only get worse between them. Mr. Foster sees Andi as a disrespectful troublemaker, and matters get worse when his lying daughter also takes a dislike to Andi. When a convicted murderer barges into the schoolhouse and tries to take the schoolmasters daughter hostage, Andi must make the most dangerous decision of her lifewhether to volunteer to take the place of the mean, tale-bearing Virginia Foster. Can Andi find a way to help defuse this scary situation without being harmed herself? Circle C Adventures are wholesome novels for tween-aged kids 8-12 who love adventure and mysteries. While being marketed mainly towards girls, boys will also enjoy reading the heart-pounding adventures of tomboy Andi Carter. Honesty, faith, and courage in adversity are topics touched upon in each story of the Circle C Adventures series by Susan K. Marlow. Through her many exciting and oftentimes dangerous escapades, Andi learns that God is always with her, watching over and protecting her. While there are currently two published novels in the series, another is planned for release in 2008 with the title of Andrea Carter and the Family Secret. Susan & Andi Do It Again!!!

Susan Marlow's latest book is packed with even more fun and adventure for her main character, Andi. The story is set in the old west with plenty of horses and activities that will appeal to young girls. Along with all of this Andi has to make some hard life decisions that reinforce good moral qualities. This is a book I would recommend to any parent or young girl.

Exciting Book for Tweens

There's action on every page of "Andres Carter and the Dangerous Decision" by Susan K. Marlow. Readers will cheer Andi through one adventure after another. Will Andi decide to walk into a life-threatening situation to save a mean-spirited schoolmate? This will be the hardest decsion in her twelve years of life.

Saddle Up and Hang On!

Well, I'm jealous! I wish Susan Marlow had written about Andi Carter and her palomino Taffy a lot sooner. ANDREA CARTER AND THE DANGEROUS DECISION takes us back to the heyday of children's books. The setting lets you take an authentic look at frontier California in the 1880's. Andi lives on the Circle C ranch, and there are plenty of horses (even wild ones) to hold the reader's attention. The promise of more Circle C Adventures to come in this series takes me back to when I could hardly wait to see what happened to my book friends in the next installment. Many series have come down the pike since I was a kid. Marlow's mixes all the elements that I found so enticing, but thank goodness ANDREA CARTER doesn't stop there. There are genuine plot twists, and Andi and her friends are so real that you can see them talking. The bonus is that Andi knows the Lord and depends on Him when she volunteers to go with an escaped convict as a hostage. No easy answers mar the story. Andi is a real girl with real problems, one that readers will welcome as a friend. And yes, I'm looking forward to the next book! Hurry, Andi! Delightful Tween Book!

Susan K. Marlow has done a fantastic job with this book. I'm certain it will become the favorite of any tween, or even teen-aged girl. Andrea Carter is a young girl who lives on a ranch in California. Life goes wonderfully for her until she makes a mistake that almost kills her new school teacher. Every attempt to correct her mistake goes wrong and she ends up in a bigger mess than even her brother (a lawyer) can get her out of. When the life of an obnoxious school-mate is on the line, Andi must choose between saving the school-mate or herself. You won't want to miss this wild ride!
