Comprehensive, gripping, and superbly written

This was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I have found it hugely rewarding. Knight uses both English and Zulu sources, his overview of the world forces influencing the Zulu wars was excellent, and his portraits of leaders and soldiers on both sides are well-realized. Best book I've read on the subject, and good enough to grip ANY history fan. Highly recommended!
