Zoe Brewer Goes to Church

"Zoe Brewer goes to church" is a sentence no one in Zoe's family would have believed. Her two daughters are a little confused, and her husband can't understand why his wife would suddenly go to church for the first time in forty years. Zoe can't quite understand it either, but she has an inkling about what has sparked her new enthusiasm. The new senior minister, Alex, is energetic and full of ideas to help Zoe become more involved with the ministry. While volunteering, Zoe makes new friends and begins to understand the joys that come with having God in her life. But not everything is quite so simple. Zoe's nonexistent relationship with her husband and increasing attraction to Alex begin taking up more and more of her time and energy. As she puzzles over her feelings for this new man in her life, Zoe falls deeper and deeper into her own fantasies of a life different from her own.
