During the Shoah, when six million Jews perished, many of them made significant efforts to resist the Nazi plan of total annihilation. Rescue and Resistance therefore played an integral role in opposing the destruction of European Jewry. Among those who resisted, sometimes with noteworthy results, were the Zionist youth movements.
