Great character, terrific focus on manners

This is a very entertaining book -- I've become a great fan of Zibby. Alison Bell mixes a retro-feel with current trends, language and situations to create a charming and appealing world for Zibby and her friends. I particulary like the focus on manners -- and what kind of manners are important (a great lesson for kids) -- embedded in a bouncy, amusing story. I'm always on the look-out for engaging, well-written children's literature and the Zibby Payne series hits the mark.
