Zay Cummings knew from an early age that being a Writer was in her future. She immersed herself in books of varying genres at a very young age, as a way of passing time in Freetown, Sierra Leone where she was born and raised. She started writing stories in exercise books at the age of sixteen. She relocated to the United States at the age of nineteen where she pursued her college education. A pivotal experience at the age of 29, thrust her writing career. One of her favorite quotes is by Maya Angelou which says: "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you". She lives with her family in Atlanta, Georgia
