A fantastic collection of Zen poems.

This is a fantastic collection of poetry that can relate to the Zen experience. This collection of translations come from poets in China, Japan and Korea. These poets range from Zen practitioners, artists, scholars, monks and travelers. To give you a taste of the kind of wonderful poetry this volume contains I will quote just one poem. "Our life in this world- to what shall I compare it? It's like an echo resounding through the mountains and off into the empty sky." great selection of zen like poems

This collection of poems from various authors captures, for me anyway, the spirit of zen being. They have a immediacy which touches you directly transporting you by their power, to the situation or place they describe. Reading them is an act of meditation in so far as it directs the mind to a place of calm. Highly recommended
