Where the Wild Survives

Savage Kingdom consists of the stories Tappan's Burro, The Wolf Tracker, and Strange Partners at Two-Fold Bay. The first two are considered two of the finest of the short works of Zane Grey, both having been published in the Ladies Home Journal in the 1920's, and both containing the tremendous descriptive quality for which Zane Grey is known. You feel you are right there in the place, and the action of the story. Strange Partners wasn't published until many years after Zane Grey died, and tells the true story of the partnership between the whalers of an Eastern Australian village and the orca or killer whales, and how they helped these men round-up sperm whales so they could be harpooned. These are real outdoor adventures as only Zane Grey can tell them--a great selection to be owned.
