Children's Book

This is a 90-page book written for about a 6th grade reading level consisting almost entirely of battle descriptions. There is no detail at all about his presidency or its impact (the Wikipedia entry is far better). It does cover all the essential points of his career, much as a butterfly visits a field of flowers. However, for a book published in 1988, it has a peculiarly antique attitude toward slavery. The best thing about the book is the numerous pictures. I would only recommend this for middle school readers who like war stories.
