a brilliant story of friendship, love and making fresh starts!

One of the most appealing features of these Love Inspired books is the respectful way the characters interact with each other, even when faced with serious conflicts and stressful conditions. It's such a delightful change from the bickering dialogue, game-playing and dishonesty/secrets that's so prevalent in other romance novels! What a difference open communication and working together in a caring manner makes! Another refreshing aspect these Love Inspired books offer is hope, even in the most dismal and down-and-out circumstances. The characters in this book gain their inner strength from their faith, and fortify themselves with scripture verses, yet it flows naturally and unobtrusively (unlike many other Christian novels that are overbearingly and unrealistically preachy.) This is the type of community readers would aspire to be a part of, amongst lovely people who we'd be happy and proud to call friends. Overcoming the problems and solving the mystery added wonderful depth to the story, and the restoration of the ancestral home added colorful interest. All-in-all, this was a well-written, wonderfully drawn story!
