Darren and his garage band (Youthquake) fall through wooded grounds into a deserted, underground U.S. Army installation from WWII - that opens to another dimension of warring planets resembling ancient cultures on Earth. Darren, Jason, Valerie, and Ryan are soon captured by the leader of a hidden army of kids who were kidnapped from these planets where they become pawns for the general when he learns of this band's origins from Earth: an excellent source of young recruits for his rising army he needs to overthrow all seven System Planets. Meanwhile Youthquake's song becomes a hit on Earth via high frequency transmissions from Ryan's wild, shortwave experiment left behind. The song interrupts airwaves worldwide launching a star search for a band that no one can find. Now Darren and his friends must decide whether to attempt escape from this evil army to claim their hit song rising on the charts, or risk even their lives in an impossible attempt to rescue these young soldiers as well as countless of more recruits from Earth. The choice, however grave, is obvious; but can they do it alone?
