The aim of this book is to present the Papo Reto project carried out in a state school in the city of Belo Horizonte on the initiative of three teachers who, based on their daily observations of the school context, noticed the need to think about the school occupied by students in other ways. It was in this sense that the idea of Papo Reto emerged as a space for weekly round table discussions on various topics such as prejudice, sexuality, frustration, among others. The students and members of Papo Reto chose which topics they wanted to talk about. And it was through the Rodas that the reinvention of the school space began to emerge.
