Another Abby Winner!

Abby Jimenez knows how to captivate your attention from page one, and this book is no exception. Character development is her strength, as well as illustrating how our past traumas can resurface and affect our current relationships. This is the third book of hers that I read in the past 6 weeks. The only downfall was in the first half there was a period where it dragged a little bit, but the second half more than made up for it. Dr. Brianna Ortiz and Dr. Jacob Maddox have their ups and downs- an inaccurate first impression, trust issues, and anxiety, create roadblocks, but you root for them to succeed. As always, Jimenez's signature is the use of humor, and charming flirtations. I recommend reading the series in the correct order(which I didn't do). I've already purchased 3 more of her books. I recommend this book for anyone needing a break from very heavy subject matter, for Contemporary Romance fans, and those who appreciate an author with a sense of humor!
