Awesome

We had a few 5th grade girls come to know Jesus as their Saviour recently and were looking for "that perfect devotional book" to bring them along in their Christian walk. This book is IT!! They love it and it is right on track!

A Must-Read!

If your choices in life have left you feeling a bit beneath everyone around you, think again! Sharon Jaynes does a fabulous job in this book to help people see their "scars" from a different perspective. I have even been using this book as a teaching tool at my church to help other women see that they are not alone - we all have scars! Great book!

All Scars are beautiful to God

Great book for men and women to make sense of those inner hurts we all experience in life. Stories apply to both men and women.

I just read it again

As an author I receive a lot of books to read, or review, or possibly endorse. Most of them are read, and then I move on, but there are a few that I keep on my shelves to read again -- just for me. This is one of those books. I am highlighting portions. I am bending down corners of pages so that I can come back and read again. Sharon Jayne's book is a reminder of who we are and what we can be in spite of past hurts. It's a book worth reading, and keeping.

A beautiful book

i recommend this book as a must read for anyone hurting or working with people who have past or present emotional, mental or spiritual life scars. The people in this book have been damaged, some in serious ways. Yet, this isn't a sad book. The pages sing with stories of love and redemption, of joy and grace, and with the message that we are not alone. Not only do others care, God cares. Sharon Jaynes is as upfront about her own scars as she is about the people who shared their hurts with her. She uses stories from real life and from the Bible to make her point, that no matter how badly we've been hurt, God loves us and He'll always be there to comfort us. She offers Biblical truths backed up with scripture verses to show the power of God's love and how he can heal our hurts and make our scars beautiful to Him. If you've been hurt, if you're carrying a secret burden, if you think no one can understand or care, then this book is for you. Buy a copy for yourself, and a second one for a friend. You'll find it well worth the price.
