Your Move II is the second in a series of seven novels that recounts an ongoing story of espionage, Middle East terrorism, murder, and most of all, convenient alliances.
The first book, Your Move I, introduces a cast of worldwide characters. Each operates within a sphere of influence they consider their own. Individuals with credentials from the CIA, FBI, MI-6 and Mossad think they're paragons for good. Others like tattooed Yakuza oynbuns in Japan, crime bosses in America, and drug czars running the Mexican drug cartels view themselves as businessmen servicing a willing clientele. A third group of tough guys-members of the Russian KGB, the Iranian Red Guard, and the Ministry of State Security in China-claim they're the last barrier from a planet dominated by the West.
Your Move II follows these white and black hats, then explains how a single event propels this menagerie of titans to lose focus and inadvertently set deadly entanglements in motion.
Patricia Shaver is their prime target. She's an heiress to a Chicago banking fortune and the author of documentary-style articles. Initially, Pat is shocked by her discovery. Then intuitive skills take over and she travels to Washington, DC to seek advice from Senator Scott Sheppard, her family's oldest and dearest friend. Uncle Scott is evasive and his stonewalling heightens her curiosity. Unbeknownst to anyone, she begins an investigation, but her successes have consequences. As she begins to understand what motivated the patriarchs in her distinguished banking family to rub elbows with the Mob, she also penetrates the spaces of people who don't believe in second chances.
