Our Readers Step Up to the Bar and Share the Blame!Like drinking, writing alone can be a lonely and sometimes dangerous thing. With the eventual publication of the first two books in this series, I was intoxicated by success, and realized I should be willing to share the platform with others who seemed to want to try their hand at this new-found art form of finding humor in tragedy, or potential tragedy. Or more often in just plain foolishness. Over and again I had folks sending me unsolicited suggestions for my next book (the most common suggestion being not to write one... but I persevered). It became pretty obvious to me that I had stumbled onto something big--an appropriate metaphor given the subject matter. Just how to include everyone in the opportunity to be a part of the world-wide fame that can accompany being included as a contributor to a yet to be written potential Number One Best Seller presented a bit of a challenge. The only fair way to invite all aspiring writers was to create a contest. And so the "You Might Be a Problem Drinker If... Writer's Contest" was born. And the rest is history.
