You Matter

By Joyce Glasser

Increasingly, people evidence they don't matter. Never seeming to be good enough, feelings of failure and worthlessness grow. Threatening, cruel life circumstances further drive people into feelings of anxiety and depression. Millions escape into alcohol, drugs and the permanent end to suffering with their suicides. How can mattering equally, kindly be the powerful antidote? At last, here is the gift of the missing links on wellness' path that reveal how important it is that You Matter.

This book is filled with examples, case studies and research-based evidence.

The underpinnings of ourselves, our families and our communities rest on deep, and often troubled, experiences. Dr. Joyce Glasser offers a message of hope and healing from wounds we may not even realize dictate our every waking moment. She speaks to ways we can reframe ourselves from depression, anxiety, and derailing habits, such as smoking and eating disorders. You Matter goes to the heart of how we react to abusive language and actions - whether those hurting blows are delivered by parents, partners or passersby. Stocked with lists, examples and case studies, this book sheds light on a new path to regain a strong footing in our World.

Preventing mental and physical illness is the ultimate goal of this book. The knowledge to do that is here. With that knowledge, we can not only prevent much illness both of mind and body but create an environment where over the coming decades, we are fostering a humane evolution revolution by fully integrating into one's being what the concept of kindly mattering can bring about.
