After one too many bad dates, I've decided it's time to focus on other things-like my new job as a first-grade teacher or learning how to control the anxiety that seems to plague me every minute of every day. Men are a waste of my time, anyway-or, at least, that's what my sister Annie says.

But then, I collide with an attractive, mysterious man in the school hallway over the summer. Not only did I accidentally knee him in the family jewels, but he also overheard a phone conversation with my sister that nobody was meant to hear.

Despite his prickly personality, I can't seem to get him out of my head, and once the ice thaws, the same seems to be true for him.
