You & Your Dad by Lou Alpert is a lovely book; Whispering Coyote Press; Dallas, TX; 1992. Theme: Dads and their various jobs as well as activities the youngsters might do with their dad but nevertheless... "Wherever you go and whatever you do, your dad is special and so are you!" Its nicely stylized illustrations quietly points to a variety of races and male and female children. I have used it for many years for Father's Day programming at our branch whose patrons are primarily African American. Children as well as mothers and fathers are pleased after listening to it being read.
