Good, Not excellent

This is a handy book but the tricks lacks in details. I think that the history chapter is completly unnecessary but this is a metter of opinion. I think it would be better if every trick would have been presented in general overview and an in-depth view. The descriptions of the tricks are too general and if you are looking for a book that will focus on good basics you should go on looking. It is not a bad book and it is a helpful one but it's definitely not the "bible" of yo-yos.

What can I say? Quite a bit, but I'll limit it nonetheless. This is a very, (note VERY) good book for learning how to yo. The tricks presented in this book range from those suited for the absolute beginner, to those who wish to take the sport seriously.Each trick is illustrated with enough depth to make it easy to understand, without overwhelming the reader. Did I also mention the variety of tricks?It also has a good wealth of information about the history of the yo-yo, and the different types of yo-yos available.My only real complaint is that like almost all yo-yo trick books available, it leaves the reader hanging just when they learn how to do the really good stuff. I can't find a yo-yo book for the life of me that has real in depth tricks like Superman, Yellow Planes or Green Smurf.Oh well. For the aspiring yoer in you, this is a great place to start.
