My three year old LOVES this book!

My three year-old daughter has always loved animals - starting with farm animals and now just about any animal fascinates her. I brought this book home from my school's library. She was instantly hooked. She loves the illustrations, but better yet, won't let me put the book away without going through the last page which lists each animal's habitat, what they eat and other interesting facts. When I told her I had to return the book she wasn't happy. She asked if I could bring it back home. That tells me that I have to make this book a part of our collection!

My daughter's favorite book

This book is wonderful. It has only one or two words on each page, but combined with the illustrations, its all you need to tell an entire story. The main and only character is androgynous, so the book "works" for boys or girls. And my daughter can read it to me!

Yikes!

This book is amazing! After checking it out from the library twice (and incurring a couple dollars of overdue fines), we bought this for our 1 1/2 year old daughter, Sarah. The pictures are absolutely amazing, and our three children know all the animals by their names. Reading this book is part of our bed time ritual, and Sarah often takes the book to bed with her to continue reading. We all love it, and can't say enough good stuff about it.

Fabulous!!

Our two-year old son loves this book so much, he requests it by name during our bed-time reading. We think the illustrations are so beautiful, we have bought numerous copies for all of our son's friends and our friends' children. It is a gorgeous, fun-to-read, educational book.

What a wonderful and beautiful learning tool for children while also being visually stimulating for their imagination. Robert Florczak's artwork, as always is rich and detailed - a joy for adults as well. We love to give this book as a present to friends.
